Sony was forced to slash its PS5 sales forecast by millions of units due to market conditions.

In the current fiscal year, Sony expects to sell fewer PlayStation 5 systems than previously predicted. Due to continued component shortages, the company cut its expectations by millions of units. The year 2022, dubbed "The Year Everything Got Consolidated," has only been a month, and the video game industry has already seen three significant acquisitions totaling $85 billion. Bungie, the leading first-person shooter developer, has agreed to join Sony and PlayStation Studios in a $3.6 billion deal. Infinity Ward Is Developing Call of Duty 2022

A new year brings a new Call of Duty, and Infinity Ward will be responsible for this year's installment. Activision divides production across three studios: Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer, with cooperation from additional teams, in order to keep Call of Duty's annual release cycle.
